isn't it ironic

no, it's actually coincidental.

anyway, last weekend i had several discussions about how i feel safe walking home from campus alone after dark. so safe, that i'm actually offended by people like my mom and my last boyfriendish-type-person who freak out that i would even consider walking alone and expect me to somehow arrange a chaperon (is this seriously how you spell this?) everyday or something.

but, yeah, got this in my inbox today:

Crime Alert - Abduction

Ugh. Yikes. I usually feel the same way about walking alone; I don't have any problem with it. However, every once in a while, I'll hear a story like this that's a little unnerving and become tempted to care around pepper spray whenever I walk around at night (of course, I never do actually take any with me). Anyway...be careful.

very creepy... be safe.

(although it is my theory that people who are extremely paranoid and overcautious are often the ones to be victimized. at least, this is how i explain that someone as foolhardy and naive as me hasn't been attacked yet.)

again, be safe.
