on the radio today
they talked about
"books not bombs"
a student protest
of the war with iraq

students were staging walkouts
and administrators were suspending them

the deejays were upset
claiming no one respects
the freedom of speech anymore

and maybe no one does

but how do walkouts
support "books not bombs"

it just doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah. It's hard to say why they were calling it Books not Bombs and encouraging students to walk out of class. It seems like something like that would work better on the weekend. Nobody left any of my classes, and hardly anyone knew anything about it.

yup
they didn't think it was right for admins to reprimand students for excercising their freedom of speech.
