big five

i took a big five personality test. as far as their sample set is concerned, 0% are more introverted or close-minded than me and i am more neurotic than 100% of those surveyed.

good grief.

(i always thought i considered myself fairly open-minded, but--as this is a self-evaluation--it appears i have been deceiving myself.)

Hmmm - did it, can't say I agree with the results, says I'm not forgiving, which is a load of huey, I'm very forgiving, even to the that test. Perhaps I filled something in, incorrectly.

I'm a O76-C74-E86-A57-N76 Big Five!!

Sounds kinda alright, kinda. I prefer Myers Briggs, though. Have you done one of them?

i thought my agreeableness should have been higher as well. i admit i can be extremely irritable, but it's not a prolonged thing; i can forgive and forget it once i'm removed from the situation.

as for the MB, i took it a while back when you did. i was and still am the mastermind type (intj)

oddly enough, that says i'm the most open-minded of the types.

I came out ENTJ.

Two of my best mates are INTP.

The NT core is good.

J is also good, as it means you're not clueless to those around you.

E or I you can take or leave, depending on whether you enjoy being a loud mouth or not :D

Regarding that Cyclothemia article I posted, did you find a lot of those hit close to home also? I found it to be almost creepy.

cyclothemia
yeah most of it applied to me all the time. and just a few i could see as at least sometimes (perhaps sensitive areas where i don't quite like to admit my flaws).

all the more reason for me to get off my ass and see a behavioral therapist. i'm completely aware of how wrong the decisions i make are. and i know about every three months i'll fuck up all my detailed plans just because i feel like pouting about how i'm afraid i can't do it alone.

so yeah, very creepy. on the nose. but informative and enlightening.

Re: cyclothemia
I've been reading some of the more official australian mental health sites, and none of them mention it. They mension depression, borderline, bipolar, & schizophrenia, but nothing about cyclothemia.

I'm always cautious with those "x out of y" type lists, as I'm highly critical of their potential credibility. But I found some good sources regarding it, including Wikipedia. Although the Wikipedia description doesn't ring as true as the descriptions available on the external links on their article.

Interesting concept, though.

I too have the "get off the ass" problem. Which makes me think, I might go to a GP right now, and get a referal. Although, undoubtedly, they'll be booked, give me an appointment at a later date, and I'll miss it. But if I can go and do it, so can you.

Re: cyclothemia
Well, I went, the doctor freaked out when he saw me and got me to leave after about 5 minutes then called the front desk and told them to refer me to a shrink, the earliest appointment is 1 month away.

Yeah, nice medical system we've got here in Australia. Really awesome.
